Thanks for stopping by. Let me introduce myself.
I grew up in Augusta, KS.
I’ve lived in Kansas my whole life except for a two year stint when I attended Oklahoma Christian College in Edmond, OK.
I became a Christian in 1980 and have tried to live, imperfectly for sure, the Christian life. I have preached the gospel of Christ for about forty years, in prisons, in houses, in various churches of Christ in southeast Kansas. I’ve never considered myself a “traditional” preacher, just a Christian.
I love computers, technology, puzzles, my family, the Bible, and Jesus in reverse order.
Let’s just say my teenage years were troubled. When I read 1 Corinthians 6:9-10 I saw I was guilty of six of the ten things mentioned in that verse which will keep you out of heaven. Before you get too judgy you might want to consider this list and see if you’ve been guilty of any of those things. I don’t know you, but if you’re human I’m going to predict that you’re guilty of number two and seven.
I’m so glad that verse 11 is there. “And such were some of you. But you were washed, but you were sanctified, but you were justified in the name of the Lord Jesus and by the Spirit of our God.”
For that I’m eternally grateful and feel like I need to do my best to encourage others to follow Him.
So these posts are my favorite lessons and thoughts from the Bible. I hope they encourage you to study the Bible for yourself (Acts 17:11, 2 Timothy 2:15), to come to believe that Jesus Christ is the son of God, and to obey the gospel (Mark 16:15-16, Acts 2:38).
So, how are you and the Lord doing? Remember I asked, and I’d love to talk with you about it.
There is a contact page if you’d like to reach out and I’ll do my best to respond.
In Christ,
Kevin Huddleston
